August 1 Fishing Report

The fishing continues to hold strong with lots of limits taken. A lot of fish are moving out into the mud, but populations worth targeting remain on shallow bars and rock piles. Long story short… fish are everywhere and are biting. Bring both shiners and leeches if you’re planning on jigging as they change preference day by day. Crawler harnesses are always a go-to as well, with gold, red, and fire tiger being the hot colors. The fish are located 15 feet to 38 feet, but good numbers are on rock piles in 13-20 feet. Water levels continue to drop, and now is as good time as any to catch a trophy.
