August 18th Fishing Report
Bug hatch but we’re catching fish. And our friend Larry Smith stopped by!
We were super excited to host Larry Smith Outdoors from Wisconsin last week. Larry and his crew set some hooks and filmed a great show. We’re catching fish in our summer pattern where we go after eaters and then target trophy fish. The bite has been a little slower due to a bug hatch, but it’s going to pick back up.
The go-to tactic is still pulling gold spinners with a crawler or minnow. But we’ll pull crankbaits and troll to mix it up and target different fish in the basin.
A big advantage of our fleet is communication with our crew. Our captains work hard to get on fish, but they all work together and find the fish so all our guest can get in on the action.
We’re also offering shore lunches on Flag Island. A great way to mix up a day of catching fish is eating what you just caught!
